Summit in SIlicon Valley
July 13-17th 2026
Summit in Silicon Valley Public Speaking Camp is designed to do more than help students “get comfortable” speaking. It provides an engaging, thoughtfully structured curriculum that teaches foundational skills in public speaking and argumentation—skills students will use in classrooms, competitions, and beyond.
Throughout the week, students learn how to:
Organize ideas clearly and persuasively
Build and support arguments with evidence and reasoning
Speak with confidence and intention
Adapt to different audiences
Think critically and respond thoughtfully
Instruction is interactive and hands-on. Students don’t just listen; they practice, collaborate, reflect, and refine their work daily.
A Supportive, High-Expectation Environment
At Summit, we believe students grow best in environments that both challenge students to grow and provides the support to get there. Coaches set high expectations while creating a space where students feel comfortable taking risks, trying new approaches, and learning from feedback.
Growth is the goal, but so is engagement. Campers participate in dynamic activities, small-group exercises, and guided speaking opportunities designed to keep energy high and learning meaningful.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should campers bring?
Campers should bring:
A packed lunch
A water bottle
Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided each day.
What if my child has no prior public speaking experience?
No experience is necessary. This camp is designed to teach foundational skills step-by-step. Students who are new to public speaking will receive structured guidance, practice in small groups, and supportive feedback that helps them build confidence quickly.
Our goal is to create an environment where beginners feel encouraged and capable from day one.
What if my child already competes in speech and debate?
Students with prior competitive experience will still benefit from camp. The curriculum emphasizes core skills—argumentation, organization, delivery, and audience adaptation—that strengthen performance at every level.
Experienced students will be challenged with higher-level refinement, more nuanced feedback, and opportunities to elevate their existing skills while mentoring and collaborating with peers.
